Yes, I love to bake. But I also love teaching others how to bake! I have taught cooking classes all over but I particularly enjoy the private classes for special parties or celebrations. Whether it is a bridal shower brunch or a chocolate truffle birthday party, we have so much fun!
I am happy to work with you to customize your special party. We can do hands on ,where your group gets to join in on the fun or you can sit back with a beverage and enjoy the show. Either way you will get plenty to eat and a good time is guaranteed! Prices start at $30 per person. Listed are some sample ideas but we can plan your class to be whatever you want it to be....Anything goes!
Classes typically go for 2-2 ½ hours and can be held in your home or at the Feed Kitchen for an additional fee. These are just a few ideas, let me know what you want and we will make it happen!
Chocolate Truffle Party
This is one of my all time favorites! I will supply all of the chocolate , the mix-ins and flavorings for multiple varieties of white,milk and dark chocolate truffles. You will get to make your own supply to take home and of course you will be eating your way to the end! So much fun, make sure to bring an apron!
Easy As Pie
We will start with a demonstration of making pie dough , rolling it out, and pressing it into a pie pan. I will demonstrate how to make a fluted edge, a lattice top and a closed top pie crust. We will make the filling and bake the pies. While they are baking, you will have a chance to make your own dough (ingredients will be measured out ahead of time and stored in individual zip lock bags). Mini pie pans will be provided as well as filling for your pies. We will eat the pies we bake and you can take home the little ones that you make.
Another fun one that is hands on entertainment! We will make the cupcake batter and each person will be able to fill a tin of cupcakes. I will show you how to make the classic Italian meringue butter cream in the flavors you choose. Each of you will get a piping bag and tip to use to decorate your cupcakes. I will show you different styles and you will take home an assortment of lovely cupcakes to share, or hide and keep them all for yourself!
We will make both sweet and savory varieties such as:
White chocolate chip and dried Door County cherries (sweet)
Cheesy cheddar and garlic with sea salt (savory)
Savory Custard Tart
